A brief diary of ISA accomplishments include:

1952 Tri-City Scrap Baling Company was incorporated. The company bought, processed and sold ferrous and non-ferrous scrap. The name of the company was later changed to Tri-City Industrial Services, Inc.

1956 A waste hauling company, Tri-City Trash and Sanitation Company, was formed and was the entrance into the waste management field.

1965 Tri-Pak, a division of Tri-City Industrial Services, was formed to manufacture a complete line of waste handling equipment, including compactors, containers, hoists and transfer stations. Tri-Pak was distributed internationally in 1966.

1969 Tri-City Industrial Services, Inc. was merged into Industrial Services of America, Inc. ("ISA"). ISA became the first publicly traded company in the waste industry. Besides Tri-Pak, ISA owned and/or operated and/or managed recycling plants, waste hauling companies and landfills in a number of cities throughout the United States.

1979 Computerized Waste Systems ("CWS") was acquired. CWS manages waste hauling, disposal and recycling for multi-location companies.

1980 The company divested itself of the equipment manufacturing division, hauling companies and landfills it either owned or operated to concentrate on the management of solid waste for its clients.

1985 Industrial Services of America, Inc. ("ISA") once again became a public company. By no longer owning or operating equipment manufacturing, hauling companies or landfills, ISA is objective in selecting the most effective services for its clients.

1995 ISA up-graded its facilities, including the commodity processing center, recycling plant and transfer station. New scrap processing, recycling equipment and refurbished offices increase productivity.

1996 ISA stock began trading on "NASDAQ" under the symbol, "IDSA".

1999 A new division "iR2" was formed to maintain the company's proprietary software, computers, telephones, internet technology, and everything required for communication and information.

2000 The new millennium enforces ISA's Mission Statement:
Integrity demonstrated through quality products and services.
Satisfaction of customers, employees and shareholders.
Achievement of excellence.
